Leap Language & Developmental Services is growing, and we’re looking for our first SLP team member to join us!

We’re looking for a compassionate, creative SLP who believes that communication therapy should be about connection, participation, self-expression, and being understood—not compliance.

Our approach is child-led, play-based, relationship-focused, and neurodiversity-affirming. We support neurodivergent children and families through individualized speech and language therapy, AAC, Gestalt Language Processing, social communication support, parent coaching, and other developmental approaches.

What makes this position different?
As our first SLP hire, you won’t simply be stepping into an established system—you’ll have the opportunity to help shape it.
You’ll have clinical autonomy while working closely with Leap’s leadership to develop programs, systems, resources, and the culture of our growing practice.

Many of our clients also receive services from ABA providers, and collaboration is an important part of our model. You’ll work alongside ABA teams and other professionals to coordinate care, share communication strategies, support AAC implementation, and advocate for the communication needs of each client. At the same time, you’ll maintain your professional scope, clinical judgment, and Leap’s commitment to neurodiversity-affirming care.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is licensed or eligible for licensure as an SLP in Georgia. At this time we are unable to bring on a clinical fellow (CF). 

• Loves working with children and neurodivergent populations

• Values child-led, strengths-based therapy

• Is interested in AAC, GLP, social communication, and developmental approaches

• Enjoys collaborating with families and other professionals

• Is comfortable working independently and taking initiative

• Is organized, communicative, and reliable

• Is excited to grow alongside a small but rapidly developing practice
   

Experience with AAC, Gestalt Language Processing, DIR/Floortime, autism, motor speech, or parent coaching is a plus—but we’re even more interested in finding someone who is curious, compassionate, and excited to keep learning.

Employment: W2
Compensation: Hourly (paid per billable hour)
Contract Rate: $55–90/hour
Paid for direct time only (per billable hour). However, billable hour pay factors in non-treatment time responsibilities: documentation/notes, family contact, schedule coordination. Higher rates for evaluations.

Cancellation fees are 100% paid to SLP.

Pay Rate Considerations: 
Pay rate is determined by a combination of education/credentials, experience, and personality factors. Experience with pediatric/adolescent autism or ABA therapy is a plus, Floortime certifications a huge bonus. We are looking for someone who will stay and grow with the business, with pay growing accordingly.

Benefits:
Because we are a young company we currently do not offer benefits. We are looking to provide health insurance at a very subsidized to no cost to the employee but likely not available by starting date due to small business eligibility.

Schedule:
Hours are generally weekdays between 8AM and 6PM but your schedule is flexible. 

Skills And Competencies:
The following would be nice to have, but not required: Autism focus, including training in Floortime, Certified Autism Specialist, Social Thinking, Meaningful Speech, etc.

ASHA CCCs Required: No
State Licenses Required: Georgia
Additional Qualifications: Reliable transportation. Physical ability to handle children who may exhibit behaviors in moments of dysregulation such as eloping, self injurious behaviors, physical protest, etc.
